Williamson County’s contractor Cash Construction will be transitioning traffic to the new Sam Bass Road alignment from just west of Thousand Oaks Drive to just east of Walsh Drive where traffic will be transitioned back the existing pavement. This work is scheduled for Friday 2/7/25.
Due to the elevation difference and proximity between the new pavement and the existing pavement in this area the existing Sam Bass Road will be used to provide access to the new roadway for Thousand Oaks Drive, Mayfield Drive, and the properties between Thousand Oaks and Walsh Drive. Access to the old Sam Bass Road will be provided via an entrance off Walsh Drive, allowing for two-way traffic in and out. Please refer to the attached diagram for more detail.
Cash will begin construction from the Thousand Oaks side by building temporary driveways and progressing toward Walsh Drive. As each driveway/intersection is completed, access will be provided from residences or neighborhoods to the new Sam Bass Road. Work will continue systematically from west to east along the old Sam Bass Road until all driveways are connected to the new road.
